Plugin Information

View Post build task on the plugin site for more information.

This plugin allows the user to execute a shell/batch task depending on the build log output.

This feature allows user to associate shell or a batch scripts that perform some tasks on Hudson depending on the build log output. If the log text matches some where in the build log file, the script will execute.Java Regex are allowed, and groups can be used as script parameters.
ex: if "IOException" if specified in the log text, and if the build log file contains the string "IOException", the script will execute.

When you install this plugin, your project configuration page gets additional "Post build task" option as illustrated below:

The Post build task consists of a log text and a script. It check for a matching log text string in the build out put log. If a match occurs,it executes the script and the post build log will append to the project build log.
Ex : If the text is "Last Build : #(\d+)" and the script is "script.sh %1", then if the log contains a line "Last Build : #4", the script will be called as "script.sh 4".

Specify the shell script to be executed when the execution of the task is selected. This is where the actual work happens. When the script executes, the current directory will be the workspace directory, just like the shell script builder. So dependin on your SCM, you might have to cd into a directory. Try "pwd" and "ls" to find out whether you need that or not.
References %1, .. %n are allowed, and will be replaced by the groups matched by the Regex. %0 is the whole match.
