This plugin allows to display the initial root cause of a build in addition to just the direct cause.
The Jenkins Root Cause(s) Plugin
This plugin adds an information the each build Page about the original Cause for that Build. For example Consider a Chain of Projects, each Triggering the next one:
A -> B -> C -> D
A SCM Commit to A will trigger a Build of A which will in turn trigger a Build o B and so on. The Root Cause Plugin will display a link to the initial commit to A on each of the Build in A,B,C and D.
This Build of "ProjectC" was caused by manual build of ProjectA.
Usage
You need to enable the plugin on a per Job Base. It can be found in the "Build Environment" Section.
