Change Log

Download links for all versions

Version 1.9 (March 24, 2010)
  • Fixed JENKINS-4865: Optional build start notification for Nabaztag plugin. Thanks to Fred Bricon who provided a patch to make notification of build start optionnal.
  • Fixed JENKINS-4866: Nabaztag validation with ajax. A button "Test credentials" is available in Hudson configuration page. It sends a "wake-up" message to the rabbit to test credentials.
  • Changed default notification messages and voice to have a proper english prononciation.
Version 1.8 (March 24, 2010)

nothing new

Version 1.7 (March 3, 2010)
  • Update code for more recent Hudson.
Version 1.6 (August 30, 2009)
  • Patch from Steven Russo: add a prebuild message: "job XXX is about to build" (unconditionnal)
Version 1.5 (February 22, 2009)
  • Fix bug: All Text-To-Speach messages are now editables and supports accentuation.
  • Fix bug: double notification when a build was recovering success.
  • Use a checkbox for the "Report On Success" parameter.
  • Hide non mandatory parameters in an "Advanced..." section.
  • Text-To-Speach messages supports "${projectName}" and "${buildNumber}" special syntax to be more expressive (instead previously of adding project name and build number automatically at the end of the TTS).
Version 1.4 (January 13, 2009)
  • Add a new parameter: Report On Success. This would avoid notification of all successfull builds.
  • Using the global Hudson proxy configuration (editable in 'Plugin manager'>'Advanced'>'HTTP proxy') to send notifications.
Version 1.3 (January 08, 2009)
  • Initial release: (Please do not pay attention to the version. Due to release problems, it is quite unusual. But 1.3 is really the first released version).

1.6 wasn't documented, so I had a look at the sources and now suspect that a notification might be sent unconditionally when a build is about to start ("Hudson is about to build ${projectName} ${buildNumber}").

Is this so, and if yes, wouldn't it be nice to make this an option?

Update: This - and other enhancements - have been included within version 1.9. Thanks, Great Work!

That is right Reiner, I have documented the release and posted an enhancement in the issue tracker for your demand.

Any thoughts about making ears and/or lights configurable via Hudson?

applying Nabaztag plugin I get the following message at the end of the console output:

Nabaztag has not been successfully notified:
Following expected confirmations has not been received: [EARPOSITIONSENT, POSITIONEAR, TTSSENT]

I have no idea what's going wrong here. Any advice? I'm using Hudson 1.342 and version 1.6 of the plugin.

Have you configured the plugin in the global Hudson configuration ? (http://<host>:<port>/hudson/configure)

Maybe the Violet API server is down...
Or your credentials are not valid.

In the next release, there will be a "Test credential" button in the configuration which will have the side effect to send a request to the rabbit through the Violet servers and thus, test the connection.

    Did you know?

As of July 2010, Nabaztag Plugin is used at 82 out of 23159 Hudson installations. Obviously, 0.4% isn't mainstream.

Enjoy being part of a very friendly and exclusive community!

Is there a plan to move the source code to github?
