How to change your Windows PATH Variable

  1. Press the Start button.
  2. Go to the Control Panel.
  3. Go to System.
  4. Go to Advanced system settings.
  5. Click on Environmental Variables... button.
  6. In the System Variables section, click on the Path variable.
  7. Click Edit... button.
  8. Click in the Variable Value: textbox and go to the end of that long text.
  9. After the last character, type the new directory you want on your path in this form C:\bin
  10. Finish the text with a semicolon ;
  11. Click OK and click OK and click OK again.
